William Riley Wood was my gr. gr. granduncle, He was a Lt. in 1860 in charge of San Saba Minutemen, In 1861 he was promoted to Capt. in chargeof San Saba Mounted Rangers a divisionof Texas State Troops(TST). This is documentedand listed in the Texas Ranger list of Commanding officer's which canbe found at the Ranger Museum in Waco. I am searching for info on his Brother John D. Wood who was my gr. gr. grandfather. also looking for info on their father & mother James Thomas Wood and Elizabeth Morris. Hope this helps Max.
