Mother would talk of how her father or grandfather lived near Abe Lincoln. Elijah made occassional trips to San Saba where he had several relatives in various businesses per mother. One relative was supposedly a Tax Collector and requested a pistol of the largest caliber from then Govenor Sam Houston. This statement is mentioned in a book "THE RAVEN". When I remembered the Abe Statement something clicked. Ol well I do not have much time for this stuff. (wish I did). Hope this assiste someone. Regards, sold@wesleyfranklin.com
