There are so many Brown's but I think this is the one you are most interested in for now: 1880 San Saba Census Prect #1 Dist.112 enum. started June 10th # 166 BROWN, SAMUEL age 47 farmer b. Mo. both his parents b. Tenn. wife , FRANCIS age 43 b. Mo. father b. Ky. and mother b. Tenn. son , (?JERRIE) age 19 farmer b. Mo. son, GEORGE age 18 farmer b. Mo. also) son, GOLDAN age 14 son, JAMES age 12 son, JOE age 12 (twins) son, JOHN age 7 son, SOLOMON age 3 So...I wonder if LaVenia married James, Joe or John? (ie. S.T.J. Brown)? I don't know how much more info. you want? There is one Owen family in 1870 Erasmus and Rhoda Owen ages 38 and 33 he is a minister from Tenn she was b. Miss. their kids are Ellen 16, Samuel 14, Mary 9, Jacob 7, Erasmus 5, Tishie 3 (female), Edgar 1 all the children b. in Tex. It does sound like the same family to me, what do you think?? June
