Jamar and Miss Annie Edwards, J. B. Sullivan and Miss Edna Matthis. The last two couples were from Mills county. J. B. Sullivan and Miss Matthis came in from Goldthwaite about six o'clock on Monday morning. As soon as the clerk reached the office Mr. Sullivan appeared and made arrangements to get his license. He then ushered the young lady into the clerk's vault, and there in the presence of the deputy clerk and a few other spectators, Judge Harris said the words that fortified them agains the intervention of the young lady's parents. Another license is on the marriage license stubs, but the cleark was requested not to allow the News to publish it. -- To All Whom It May Concern! I have leased a lot of land to L. L. Stroble for the year 1898, on which to build a commodious gin house with all necessary machinery to operate several ginstands and corn mill if necessary; everything to be complete and in up to date order, in that he may be able to accommodate all customers from any range or locality within reach of Harkeyville. This is now a fixed fact, and this section of San Saba county and river, can next season feel assured of Cotton ginning and cor grinding accommodaticus, being ready at the above stated, near my farm and residence.
