Mr. Frank Richards and Miss Hattie Chapman accompanied by a number of friends drove to the home of Rev. Wm Chapman Wednesday evening Jan. 12, and were married while sitting in the buggy. The bridegroom is a most worthy young man and we congratulate him on winning his sweet young wife, who, until quite recently was a pupil of Prof. West. Mr. Conway, the jovial Temple Grocer Company drummer, called on our business men last week. There has been several real estate deals in our neighborhood recently. Joe Harkey has sold his farm to Mr. Wash Bonner. J. C. Richards has sold to Jno. Crane and contemplates moving to Arizona. "Lum" has grown to manhood in our midst and has many friends who will regret to see him leave. Bro. Broyles, M. E. pastor on the Milburn circuit, preached here Sunday afternoon and night. Greenlee, disturbing the peace, trial by jury, verdict guilty, and fine $1. Albert McLemore, aggravated assault, plea of guilty and fined $5. Josh McCormick, slander, dismissed. Dit. Shaw, carrying a pistol, submitted to the court and declared not guilty. Carroll Slaughter, carrying a pistol, and also, disturbing religious worship, both dismissed. Mike Jennings, carrying a pistol, dismissed. Alvin Mann, disturbing religious worship, plea of guilty and fined $25.00 John Harrison, assault and battery, dismissed. Ed Anderson, milicious mischief, plea of guilty and fined $5. Fletcher Hunt, disturbing religious worship, plea of guilty and fined, $25. Aston Ray, malicious mischief, dismissed.
