The info below should be the Floyd that you inquire about. My Ggrandfather Larkin E. Jamar (My grandmother was Amanda Elizabeth Jamar) was a brother to the Thomas below, Marion's Father. Marion was the oldest of 10 children and was born Nov 8, 1872 near Alto, Richland Parish, LA. Most of Thomas's family moved to OK (Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory actually) about 1899 from Mills or San Saba Co. I am almost finished with about 3 years researching the Jamars back to 1700's VA. and currently in process of updating my database. There is a Jamar reunion at Lake Texoma State every year of mostly Thomas's descendents. The reunion has been going on for 50 or more years.
