He was known as "GW" to those who knew him. His father was George A. Skaggs, and his mother was Erma Lou Williamson. I have been told that he is deceased and buried in a cemetery in San Saba, but I don't know this for sure. If he is, then I would like to know where. I noticed in your response above, that you mention that you have a great deal of information on the Skaggs'. PLEASE email me so that we may converse on this matter in greater detail. Thank you!

George A. Skaggs... DOB: 1911. I'm not sure, but I am trying to get information on my grandfather (his son) George William Skaggs "G.W.". I have some of George A.'s geneology, but not much I'm afraid. I am desperately trying to find out information about my grandfather, and would love to exchange any info. Unfortunately, I live in N. Tx, and it hasn't been possible for me to get down to San Saba to personally look for any of my heritage. Please be in touch.

    3. Posted on: San Saba Co., TX Queries<br> with Automated Mailing List Posting Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/SanSaba/10741 Surname: Williams ------------------------- My father can remember living in San Saba around 1927-28 when his parents were working at Williams Dairy. Does anyone have access to San Saba County records who would be willing to determine the owner at that time and give me a specific location of the dairy? Will the records show whether the owners were black or caucasian? Is there a local history book in your library that would shed some light? I don't know if these were relatives that my Williams grandparents worked for, but I am positive that they didn't own it themselves as they were quite poor. Thus far I've not found any connection to those Williams families who have solid roots in San Saba.
