I live in Tyler and only recently discovered that my gggrandfather, George Madison Stroope, settled in Shelby county abt 1839. My gggrandmother, Mary Jane Mosely Stroope is buried at Buena Vista cemetary. I'm researching burial sites for George Madison, Leanna F., and Edward Preston Stroope that I believe are also in Shelby County.
