The Texas Association of Museums (TAM) announced the winners of the 20th annual Mitchell A. Wilder Publication Design Awards Competition. The Wilder Design Competition drew 225 entries from all over Texas and from museums of all sizes and backgrounds. Many of this entries were from museums and organizations with multimillion dollar budgets. The Shelby County Historical Society submitted the web site: www.rootsweb.com/~txshelby/ on behalf of designers and producers Ray Jackson of Center, TX and Jane Keppler of Conroe, TX. The site won the Mitchell A. Wilder Award - Merit Citation based on its design, layout, and use of colors and creativity. Ray and Jane have put many hours into this web page and Shelby County citizens should be very pleased with the outcome.
