I am seeking contact with descendants of the SIMS family. In 1973 an Arlene Laramore Sims, wife of William H. Sims, of Shelby Co., TX, prepared info on her husband's SIMS line. William H. Sims, b. Aug 9, 1919, traces back through Jesse James Sims to Rueben Berry Sims, to Samuel Sims, to James Sims II, to James Sims I, whose mother was Elizabeth Parrish. I do have the Shelby County Texas History book, from which I have obtained some info. There is also indian heritage in this line from the SIMS and GOLDEN families and I wish to learn more concerning the tribe name. Thank you, Sallie Cannon near Beaumont, TX
