I was born in Center, Texas but didn't live there (my parents lived in California at the time, and they went back to Shelby County because my Dad wanted me to be born in Texas) My Dad's family lived in Shelby County for quite a while. I'm retired now, and hope to visit the area to do some family history research in the next year or so. If anyone on the list has info on the Shelby County Brittains (My Dad's Name was A.D. Brittain, My Grandfather's name was Winfield Scott Brittain (W.S.) and my Grandmother's maiden name was Hattie Sapp), I would be glad to exchange my info (which isn't too much at this time).
