    3. This message came from Missing Links, an online newsletter. I thought it might be of interest here: In going through photos passed on to me after my mother's death, they were all very interesting; but one in particular may be of interest to others who had relatives living in Conroe, Texas or associated with the Texas, Louisiana & Eastern Railroad in 1896. It is a wonderful sepia-toned photo which looks like it could have been out of a Western movie. There are six men standing on the front porch of a building and two men on horseback in front of the building which is on an unpaved street, with mud puddles and all. On the back of the photo is written "Jack HEARD, the bone man, Capt. J. CONROE, Frank STEWERT, office boy, W. C. BEACH, Supt XCE, S. E. SAYERS, Clerk to Supt., B. T. LAWS, Clerk to Aud. & GPA, Don D. DONAHUE Aud. & GPA, Chris BLACK, Condr." I will have copies made and send to anyone interested. Bernie Donahue DBD201@aol.com
