Columbus Parish appears in the 1860 Shelby Co TX census in the household of Gilbert Brook. He is 24 years old, a farm laborer, born in Tenn. Does anyone know anything about him? I suspect he served in the CW and most likely died. Are there any records of his service and/or death? Please help. Joyce Morriss
