My grandfather was born in East Hamiilton in 1908 (Jewel Ellington Middleton) he was the son of Titus Eugene Middleton and Willie Arlene Goodwyn. My grandmother says his middle name came from the Dr. that delivered him. a Dr. Ellington? Does anyone know anything about him? My grandmother also says that her husband was 1 of 3 boys (Guy Eugene Middleton, Jewel Ellington Middleton, Weldon Wayne Middleton) and there was a baby girl that was born but didn't live very long. I would sure love to find out about the girl and when/where she was born in Shelby county and how long she lived. The 3 boys were all born in East Hamilton in 1905, 1908 and 1914.
