    3. I have to really apologize to these lists. Earlier in the week I put out a note about my great aunt Sallie Carter Wills who lived around McLennan, Comanche and Hamilton counties. She was born 1876 and died 1950. She suffered from asthma. She had some type of medicine that she would put in a bowl, strike a match to it, take it outside and breathe in the smoke that came from it. It didn't catch on fire but would smoke. Do you know what this was or have you heard of it? It really helped her asthma. I got a lot of responses sent directly to my email address which were wonderful folklore and family stories. Sometime yesterday, there was a hiccup in my pc and now a lot of stuff is just gone. My husband is looking into what gremlin might have eaten my emails, but in the meantime I have lost all your wonderful stories. Many of you said your grandparents used sage and marijuana, etc. Someone sent me a wonderful web site of indian healing medicines. I hate that I have lost these stories. I wanted the information only to include in aunt sallie's family history write up. If you don't mind, would you please re-post to the lists so all can see. Thanks, Sandra Carter Van Wyk Denton County Texas
