Because the list has been active recently I am reposting: Does anyone have a connection to the Alexanders who moved from Weakley Co, TN to Shelby Co approx 1854. Ralph J Alexander, born SC 1817 and his wife, Harriet Landrum Alexander, born TN. They lived in the Sardis Community on the 1860 census (shown at that time as Grahams Mill) They had several children and my ancestors, Charlie Faris Alexander was born in Shelby Co in 1862. The parents and several of the children died, probably from an epidemic shortly thereafter and Charlie was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, Erasmus Hill Hearne and his wife, Caroline Jane Alexander Hearne. One of Charlie's sister's, called Tennessee b approx 1855, later married Burl Eaves and moved to Houston where she died in the 1930's. Any help appreciated with the Alexanders, Hearnes and Eaves.
