John Holt d. abt. 1837 in Abbeville, SC. Elizabeth Ruff Cannon Holt, came to TX, abt. 1843?. 1. William B. Holt, married 1st. M. Moore, born in GA; mar. 2nd Nancy Leard b. abt. 1821 in SC. They mar. abt 1842. 2. Solomon T. Holt, mar. Rhoda Ann Choat, abt. 1847, and is shown in 1850 Shelby Co., TX census, page 86, line 37, #101, living with John & Mary Choat, next door to #100, William Hall family, which was related to the Cannon/Holt family. 3. Barzilla Holt, mar. Benjamin Franklin Adams, abt. 1840 in Neuville, Shelby Co., TX. 4. Lucinda, mar. 1st, Lewis Pinkney Matthews, mar. 2nd George W. Barnes in 1882 in Van Zandt Co., TX.
