I have already contacted the library in Timpson and Lori Webb who gave me some info but the main thing we can't find is who,what ,where & when. We are looking for Thomas/Tom Brice born in March 1865 Crawford county,GA who married Missouri Jane Warren Dec. 11, 1887 in Center, Shelby county TX. We have a copy of their marriage license but it doesn't have parents names on it and that is what we need, plus when did they migrate to Texas? Lori Webb told me it was about the same time as the Abbotts, Dukes & Warrens, but I've found nothing to verify this. If you can provide any new information we would be very greatful. I already have most of the info from the Timpson library that Sharon Brownlow sent but it still doesn't address these specific issues or tell us where to go next. Judy, I sent this to your AOL address but it bounced: B. Mitchell Hi, I saw your request on the Shelby Co. website. I have a book by J.B. Sanders titled Marriage Records of Shelby Co. Tx. 1882-1936. It shows Thomas Brice marrying Missouri Warren Dec. 9,1887 with a record page of 2-24. I believe that you could contact the Courthouse Records & maybe get more info. However, a lot of the time ; they failed to list their parentage or previous state lived. If you can locate a copy of the census record for 1880; it might have what you are looking for.
