A 'tutor' is the surviving biological parent and an 'undertutor' is assigned to represent minor children. In the other 49 states that person would be called 'guardian ad litteram.' In Louisiana the division of property is decided by a 'family meeting,' not probate. After the land was sold most of the family moved to Melrose, in E. Texas. Grant W.
