On August 20th, 1999, the town of Shelbyville, TX, lost one of its beloved citizens, Mrs. Eunice B. Taylor Cannon, who was born October 6, 1906. She was best known to all of her grand and great-grand-children as "Big Moma". She will truly be missed. Her body now dwells next to that of her husband, in the Cannon Cemetery, Shelby Co., TX. Her soul is tending the gardens, kitchens, fishing ponds, and children of heaven.

Mr. Coe, I will not say that I am 100% certain about this......but when I went to school in Orange, Texas in the 50's there was a Mr. Coe (and if my mind isn't slipping, it was Ira), who worked for the Manley Elementary School, where I attended. I remember he had a daughter whose name was Iva Nell Coe, who was the same age as my oldest sister, who was born in 1936. I do remember that they were from Shelby Co., Tx. It is possible they went to Orange after or during the war, as many families did from Shelby Co. They could have lived for many years in Orange before returning to Shelby Co., (I noticed in your message that Ira Coe died in Shelby Co. in 1981). I wish I could be of more help. Maybe you could do some research in Orange, Orange Co., Tex, as well as in Shelby Co. Kathy Mosley
