Come toast Texas' Independence by celebrating with the Historical Society. For the month of March, we are hosting a variety of events and lectures. Last week we celebrated Texas Flag and Independence Day by hosting a come-and-go style celebration at the Museum. Several hundred visitors got an opportunity to see the renovations and new displays at the Museum & Genealogy Research Library while enjoying refreshements served by the Society's volunteers. Our next Lecture Series 2001 event is March 22 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Museum. Dr. Archie McDonald from SFASU will be speaking on, what else, but Texas Independence! Hope you can make it.
