She was born to Louis Judson Mathis and Drusilla Moore Mathis. Mrs. Castle was married to the late Thomas Castle. For 25 years she owned and operated the Gingerbread House in San Augustine. She is survived by: Son: Mike & Mary Lane Castle of Nacogdoches, Texas Mother: Drusilla Henry of Marshall, Texas Grandchildren: Scott & Amy Castle, Michele & Mike Slayden, Sister (Twin): Louise and Duane Smith of Longview, Texas Great-Granddaughter: Madison Sladen She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Castle and Daughter, Sharon Louise Castle. Services were held Monday, October 21, 2002, at 2:00 P.M., at the First United Methodist Church of San Augustine, with burial in the San Augustine City Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
