There was an 1835 census that I know of of Sabine and San Augustine area. I have a transcription of this. I also have a transcription of both the 1850 Sabine and San Augustine Federal censuses, and would be glad to look up someone in these transcriptions if you give me the specifics. Melinda McLemore Strong "Edward Tyler and Maria Teresa Linch" were married August 29, 1835 in Nacogdoches Texas. (Source: Marriage Contracts 1824-1838 Texas County Court, Nacogdoches Texas).
