Her parents was Jesse Runnels and Jennie Jane Armstrong out of mississippi. Jesse Runnels and James Runnels( His brother) came to texas about 1850-1860 with their mother Nancy( don't know her last name) I don't know about their father Lewis Runnels. Jesse runnels born 1802-1803 and died 1870. I have been told that their was a Runnels in angelina county that was moved to san augustine in 1960 due the construction on lake. My family is buried in Runnels cemetary in san augustine but i don't remember a Jesse Runnels. Jennie Jane Armstrong born1813 Tennesee and death 1882 Angelina county they say she was buried in the old Runnels Cemetary in Angelina and moved to San Augstine. Her father name was Jesse Armstrong born 1781(in York county S. Caralina)( died 1864) and mother Prudence Moorehead born 1784.I have found them in the cenus in mississippi in 1830.
