    1. Re: [TXSANAUG] San Augustine area cemetaries
    2. Concerning cemeteries.... Also to Betty about the MORA family: There are three cemeteries located in San Augustine County that are not too far from the Shelby County line. 1. Mount Olive Cemetery 2. Old Sardis San Augustine County (Not to be confused with Old Sardis in Shelby County) 3. Holmes Cemetery There is a very active cemetery association for the Old Sardis San Augustine. (The Attoyac River is not too far from Sardis.) Also, there are MORA'S buried there, if I'm not mistaken. I am familiar with the Holmes cemetery and have been told that there are MORA'S buried there. I do not believe there are any monuments at the Holmes cemetery with that name. One may be able to go to the Shelby County web site and locate information on these cemeteries. I believe one would follow the Mt Herman link. (Please do not confuse with the Old Sardis Shelby County cemetery link). If I can be of help, please let me know. I believe I can give directions to these from Hwy 96 in San Augustine if there is an interest. Good luck to all, ZCP

I've been able to help one or two people while I've been here and there is a good chance that the cemetary you mentioned on the river is one that I'm looking for. Anyway, I've been able to take some pictures and visit several cemetaries and look forward to seeing more, in the next few weeks, before I return home to Louisiana. Thanks for your input. Jim
