I don't remember exactly but it is near the shore of Sam Rayburn Lake. I believe it's not for from Broaddus. I've got information in my files somewhere that my aunt sent me regarding Mary Ella Polk and either a Polk or Runnels Cemetery. I just cannot find it right now. Could anyone tell me where the Polk Cemetery is located in San Augustine? Thanks jcherokee77@aol.com
No, 353 is the Whiterock road. 3153 turns left off highway 21 about 5 miles from San Augustine.
I can not fine 3153, i see a 353 could this be the same road. thanks for your help. ruth
From San Augustine take highway 21 east for about 5 miles, turn left on farm road 3153 which is near the entrance of Farirway Farms, go about two miles until you get to a sharp 90 degree curve, continue straight ahead for about a mile and you are in the Blackankle community.

I am related to John C. Hale and Barshaba Miller. According to Hale's biography at http://www.sanjacinto-museum.org/kemp/v352.html his widow Barshaba married Samuel H. Davis. Is this information correct? Either way I would appreciate any information you may have. Thank You.

White City was located on what is now the area that forms sort of a peninsula in Lake Sam Rayburn -- it was south of the highway between Broaddus and Pineland. I know because I inherited property in that area. The Hebron cemetery is the closest cemetery that I know of, but most of my relatives are buried at Little Flock Cemetery and Little Flock Church is across the road from the cemetery. BTW, I'm still looking for connections -- surnames: CLEGG, WILLIAMS and allied family names.
