Smith, b. ca. 1762 VA(?) d. before 1850 Sabine County, TX...It was said that John stated he had come from Dublin, Ireland. John married Mary ???, b. ca. 1773 d. before 1851 Sabine County, TX. John and Mary came into Texas somewhere between 1820 and 1824. John and Mary along with their son, Robert was found in the 1830 census. Their children were William D. Smith b. 1795 VA, d. 1858 Sabine County, TX m. Elizabeth Roberts around 1824 in San Augustine, Robert H. Smith b. 1802 NC, d. 1867 Sabine County m. Mary Ann Johnson ca 1835, John Bailey Smith b. 1805 NC d. 1878 Sabine County, TX m. Constance Harris in ARK ca 1835, and a daughter Mary Smith, b. 1805 NC, d. ???, m. Joseph W. Watkins ca. 1820.
