I'm looking for descendants of Hugh Cooper-Robert Cooper-William Gill Cooper- who moved to Texas. I'm descendant of Jonathan Henry Cooper, son of Wm Gill Cooper. Jonathan Henry COOPER, b.1818, MS, d. 1897, Sabine Co., m. Obediance BRENT, b. 1820, MS, d. 1877, Sabine Co. Both buried at Spring Hill Cemetery in Sabine Co. They have many descendants still in East Texas; I'd like to hear from them. Their son, James Amberson Cooper, C.S.A., b.1842, MS, d. 1927 Sabine Co., m. Amelia Elizabeth JACKS, b. 1847, Sabine Parish, LA, d. 1934, Sabine Co., TX. Her father, Nicholas JACKS , b. 1816, LA., D. 1889, Sabine Co. and mother, Caroline Matilda KEMP, b. 1809 GA, d. 1860, Sabine Co, TX . Nicholas JACKS' parents were Nicholas Marion Jacks, Sr., b. 1784, TN, d. 1854, Sabine Co., and Amelia GRUBB, of LA. Most of these are buried in the JACKS Cemetery in Pineland, TX. Parents of Caroline KEMP were Bradford KEMP and Drucilla CAMPBELL. Both died in LA. I would like to hear from anyone with any information on any of these families.
