I saw the query from Wayne in Mesquite about RUSSELL in the Census. I have found the following on them. Jesse RUSSELL POLL 1; PERSONS 4 John RUSSELL POLL 1; PERSONS 4 above is from "1837 Sabine County Tax Records by Wm. P. Wyche Assessor & Collector." pg. 18. There is also listed a Aurelia, Emily, and a Robert. This is from the book published by the James Frederick Gomer Chaperter of the The Daughters of The Rebpulic of Texas. It is called "HISTORY AND TAX RECORDS OF THE SABINE DISTRICT AND SABINE COUNTY, TEXAS" Hope this helps. Pam Webb
