Bellefonte is primarily the site now of a decommissioned nuclear power plant. There are some cemeteries listed in the area at www.topozone.com. The closest town is Stevenson, in Jackson County, AL. Closest place to stay is in Scottsboro. There's a funeral home on a road outside of Stevenson (on the other side of the main highway from the Depot Museum) that was very helpful. One guy even drove me out to a Thornton Cemetery but the graves were too recent. A paper map exists that identifies many of the area's cemeteries. If the Depot doesn't have one of these maps (which they didn't when I was there), the funeral home should. Good luck! Let me know what you find.
