Margaret was the daughter of Unknown Williams and Sarah Caroline Wood. Sarah Caroline was the daughter of Thomas J. and Maria Rutherford Wood who were settled in Scottsboro, Jackson County. I know some Rutherford and Starkey families went to Robertson County, Texas and it seems likely that Margaret and John Tipton went with them, but I have no proof of that, other than the mention of a probate record.
