He was born in Benchley, Robertson Co., Texas on April 8, 1926. Mr. Moss was a retired bank president of Hondo National Bank, which he served for 32 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church, VFW, Masonic Lodge #750, and Quihi Gun Club. He has also served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Maud Cameron Moss; daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Floyd Steubing of Dunlay and Linda and Keith Donnelly of Ovid, NY; son, Samuel C. Moss of Hondo; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also brothers, O. Lee Moss of Hondo and Roger Moss of Alabama; sisters, Frances Garrett of Hearne, Eunice Lloyd and Ethel Faye Goodwin, both of Pasadena. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Osmer Moss and Henrietta Edna Johnson Moss; brother, James Prentis Moss and sister, Nancy McGregor. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 1995 at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
