Sarah was related to the McDaniel family that lived in Robertson Co. Sarah died in child birth leaving a son, named William Thomas Hereford. Around 1878, Lorenzo D. Hereford died and is buried in the Beck Praire/Nesbitt Cemetery. A Mrs. Carter had taken care of William from the time his mother died and after his father died she was given custody of him. I am trying to find out what happened to William T. Hereford. I have no idea what Mrs. Carter name was or who she was married to. I have tried to search the 1880 Robertson Co census to see if I can locate her. It is taking forever for my computer to down load each page so I have given up going through the census. If anyone has an index to the 1880 census and can tell me what pages there are Carters listed I would appreciate the help. If anyone has any information on Hereford, Copeland, Carter or Mc Daniel families that lived in Robertson County from 1870 I would like to hear from you.
