O. Moss Rites Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. S.O. (Henrietta Edna) Moss of Hearne were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 29,(1977) from the chapel of Heartfield Funeral Home with Dr. Dwight Dudley of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Norwood Cemetery. Mrs. Moss died Sunday, March 27. A native of Hearne, she was born August 10, 1895 and was 81 years, seven months and 17 days old. Mrs. Moss had spent her lifetime in the area and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of Hearne; four sons, Osmer Lee Moss, James Moss, and Samuel David Moss of Hondo and Roger Henry Moss of Moundville, Alabama; four daughters, Mrs. Henrietta Frances Garrett and Mrs. Nancy Louise McGregor of Hearne, Mrs. Ruby Eunice Lloyd and Mrs. Ethel Faye Goodwin of Pasadena; 20 grandchildrent; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Johnson of Bellmead; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Ethel Potter of Hearne. Pallbearers for the funeral of Mrs. S. O. Moss were Bryan Moss, James Lee Moss, Cameron Moss, Wesley Goodwin, William Johnson, Russell Squires, Frank Johnson, and Gary McGregor. Named honorary pallbearers were the men's senior Sunday School class members at the First Baptist Church, Dr. Ken Kennamer, V.D. Ramby, Frank Fridel, Harold Moss, J.L. Fulton, C.H. Armstrong and Sam Rice, Jr. (Hearne Democrat, 1977)
