My ancestor, Priscilla Ann Davis Hughes, migrated to Robertson County, Texas just before the census was taken in 1880. She came with two of her sons and their wives. George M. DALLAS Hughes was b. 12 May 1846 and died 16 November 1890. Wyatt C. Hughes was b. abt. 1859 and died 27 February 1888. I'm not sure what happen to Prissie, but a Mrs. Hughes married an Austin in Robertson Co. Dallas' wife and children remained in TX, while Wyatt's wife and children returned to Jackson Co., FL. Dallas and Wyatt were both relatively young men when they died, Dallas being 44 and Wyatt being only 29, respectively, when they died. Has anyone access to old newspapers, books, or so forth that might have an account of the deaths? I would appreciate any information at all. Linda Dumas lcdumas@aol.com
