She was born in Missouri, April 7, 1858. Funeral services were conducted from Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev. John A. Brady officiating, assisted by the Rev. J. L. Wallace and the Rev. Frank Fridel. Interment was in the Moss Cemetery at Five Points. Pallbearers were Lee Moss, James Moss, Robert Bates, Russell Squires, Earl Squires, and Sandall Bates. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Squires of Hearne and Mrs. Georgia Bates of Canton, Miss,; three sons, O.A. Moss and S.O. Moss of Hearne and J.B. Moss of Channelview; 23 grandchildren and 35 greatgrandchildren. (from Hearne Democrat, August 1953)
