Confederate records state he was in the 12Th Texas Cavalry, Co. K, and that he was discharged form that unit. 1. [TX ROBERTSON] Re: James Walter Everett
    2. I would have to check my record again to be sure, but the James W. Everett in Boring Cemetary is the son of Nancy Everett who also had a son named (Barton) Edward. I know the father's name, too, now but I don't have it at hand. I will look it up to see and post it later. Barton Edward is my husband's ancestor. Several of his ancestors are buried in the Boring cemetary and the nearby Holly cemetary. Barton Edward and his wife are buried in Holly cemetary. I'll get back with you later.

They were listed in the 1850 Robertson County census with children George W. MELTON b. abt 1846/47, Josiah Melton b. abt 1848/49 and Mary E. Melton, age 7 mos old when census was taken. In the 1860 Census, husband David Melton & son Josiah Melton were not listed, ( perhaps both deceased) however she had several more children. These included George W. & Mary E. above, plus another son age 7 ( name is not clear on census, could be Gale, Dale or something like that), William age 5, Phema age 4, Adeline age 3 and John T. ( or L.) age1.
