Surnames: McCrary, Welch, Hanson, Gillespie Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AlB.2ACE/379 Message Board Post: I'm having trouble locating this cemetery. It's not listed on the Robertson Co. cemetery list. Does anyone know whether the name changed or is this one of the "unknown" cemeteries? An ancestor of mine was buried there in 1917 and I was hoping to find out more information about him.

    2. This a correction on my last email message about the smallpox epidemic: the epidemic was actually a YELLOW FEVER epidemic in 1873 in Calvert. I'm looking for a listing of all who died in that epidemic. I'm unable to locate the cemetery where the people were buried in the TxGenWeb Project for Robertson County. Can anyone help me? 3. I found these Coley's (and a LEE) online here: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txrober2/1860censusfinal.doc I think this Elizabeth COLEY age 18 might be mine. I have mine born in 1847 but anything's possible. (would there be birth records this early in TX available?) She later, in 1872 Robertson Co., married John LEE. They lived in Brown Co. the most. Both are buried in Cox Cemetery, Comanche Co., Tx. The Dempsey COLEY is the only that 'could' be Elizabeth's father. His wife, Julie, could not be her mother or any of the children listed except Sarah and Terry as she's too old. This must be Dempsey's second marriage. Anyone know of this family and Dempsey's first marriage? All the COLEY's listed below could be related. I'm wondering if anyone has info on Elizabeth's family or Dempsey's? ********************** Elizabeth COLEY 18 F Seamstress TX (#8 with Stokes family) 282 282 John G. 3. Subject: Make Family History Month Happen Date: Sat, 25 Aug 2001 10:54:03 -0700 From: Jonelle Ellis Russell <[email protected]> To: [email protected] I copied this from "Ancestry Weekly Digest" to share with you. I think it is of interest to all genealogist. I hope you will take time to read George's article and become part of "making this happen." Jonelle Ellis Russell <[email protected]> ___________________________________________________________________ "MAKE FAMILY HISTORY MONTH HAPPEN!" by George G. Morgan ("Along Those Lines . . .") Family History Month is not a "done deal" yet. Congress is off on its annual summer vacation and a recent search of the Thomas Web site reveals that no such resolution has yet been introduced. In order to declare October "Family History Month" beginning this year, the resolution must be introduced, passed, and signed. It is almost September and much work still needs to be done. George discusses how Family History Month can benefit you and your research, and what we can do to make it happen. He includes sample letter for readers to send in to legislators in Washington. <http://www.ancestry.com/library/view/columns/george/4468.asp> REPRINT POLICY: We encourage the circulation of the Ancestry Daily News via non- profit newsletters and lists providing that you credit the author, include any copyright information (Copyright © 1998-2001, MyFamily.com Inc. and its subsidiaries.), and cite the "Ancestry Daily News" (http://www.ancestry.com/dailynews) as the source, so that others can learn about our free newsletter as well.

Surnames: THOMSON McHUGH KELLOGG LEE HEINEN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AlB.2ACE/376 Message Board Post: No "P" in Thomson! 1. In 1850, was TALBOT part of ROBERTSON County? (Talbot no longer exists) 2. In Texas Marriages, 1851-1900 I found marriages in 1871: McHUGH, TIMOTHY m. GRIMES, CORDELIA Date: 25 Jul 1871 County: Robertson COUTER, GEORGE m. THOMSON, L. R. Date: 4 Jul 1871 County: Robertson .. which at least shows me there were 2 people of those surnames that year, making ROBERTSON my current best bet for finding TALBOT. Further, it's the only McHUGH that selection brought up in TX, although there were 8 other Thomsons in 6 other counties. Emma Jane was buried in San Antonio Bexar Texas in 1914.
