Posted on: Robertson County Texas Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Tx/Robertson/10387 Surname: Bates, Wilson, Hamilton ------------------------- I don't know whether any of these people might be related to your line, but they were believed to be in Robertson Co. around the early 1900's. There was a W. Wilson and Eliza Bates, and the reason I mention Hamilton is N. B. Hamilton was married to Sallie Wilson. The Bates name also appears in the old ledger that belonged to Mr. Hamilton. If anyone has ever heard of him any where please let me know, his given name was Napoleon B. Hamilton. You can e-mail me at BHRanchHand@aol.com and I will see if there is any more info on the family. Thanks, Peggy

It does include my lines (Hilbun, Brantly, Tilly) - HILL is my married name & is from Caddo Ph. LA. When the Minutes are complete, I will send a complete index it to the web master for Robertson Co. to post on the web site. The Minutes will be placed in selected sites - I need to consult with those that have the original and those that maintain the Nesbit Cemetery for this. Work has been greatly slowed due to a death in the family and care for the children involved. There is an unindexed history of Robertson Co. A copy is in the library at Franklin. also Huntsville, TX. It does contain information about various communities in the county and gives names of early settlers. You might try it.
