There's a Nancy Thompson who came to Robertson County in about 1872 with a bunch of other families from Jackson Co. AL who are buried at East Boone as well. Look under "Rutherford" at the same cemetery for her daughter. I'm heading to Scottsboro in a couple of weeks to do some research on the Bolton, Rutherford, & Henry families. Looking for cemetery where James Rutherford & Susan Henry Rutherford are buried. Would like to share/compare information.

In mid-1850's he re-located to Palo Pinto, Co., TX along with wife, Mary McClain Foster, daughters Rebecca Melinda Foster Upton, Louisa Missouri Foster Day, Sarah Lucrelia Foster Moore, and elderly Rebecca McClain, living next residence. I found nothing on him after 1860. He was born 1808 in NC, lived in Tennessee before coming to Texas. Any Fosters recognize him from your information? I have been working on this for a year.

Surnames: Tipton - Williams - Wood Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AlB.2ACE/388 Message Board Post: I am looking for information regarding Margaret and John Tipton in Robertson County, Texas. I found their names on the Probate Index, with a date of July 19, 1876, page 745. I believe that Margaret and John married in Jackson County, Alabama, November 19, 1854. I think Margaret was the daughter of Unknown Williams and Sarah Caroline Williams who were in Jackson County, Alabama in 1860 and 1850. Sarah Caroline Williams may have been the daughter of Maria and Thomas J. Wood, also settled very early in Jackson County, Alabama. Margaret and John Tipton might have come to Texas with the Rutherford families. Did other Williams or Wood families come to Robertson County Texas? When did Margaret and John Tipton die, and where are they buried? Any help would be appreciated. Wanda

    1. [TX ROBERTSON] WOODS
    2. On several occassions I have wriiten concerning FRANK WOODS b 1888 d 1976 in the town of Franklin, TX. Frank was a son of James Addison Woods and Frances Parker and was a longtime resident of Franklin. He was an Attorney and have heard he was a County Judge. He was married to Olga Sadler and they had a daughter Jacqueline Woods who never married and was also a longtime resident of Franklin. She died in 1986. I have gotten all info from SSDI. and other sources, but nothing on his family. My surprise comes when nothing can be found on a Frank Woods in Franklin, other than ssdi. Surely he was one of there most prominent and long-lived citizens. I am in search of any documentation, ie birth/death certificates; obits from papers, etc.. Any help on his life history and in particular siblings will be appreciated. Also on wife, Olga Sadler and daughter Jacqueline Woods. RHarris rh128212@aol.com
