    3. Mary---I don't know---I have no one beyond my grandfather on the Watson side as yet. I've just recently started researching my father's family. Have a little more on Sturch, but still looking for my Watsons. Maybe someone here can help. 3. WATSON As of this morning I received a e-mail from Shane Watson which I do not know. Shane lives in Detroit, Tx. My Uncle Charlie Watson is the great grandfather of Shane. Shane's grandfather is Billy C. Watson. Shane's father is Mark Watson. (I do remember Billy C and have picture of him as a teen) We have a question to find out if James Sidney Watson was in Alabama when his son Charlie Hurst Watson was born in 1866. Shane and I both have a page of Watson history that does not touch Alabama. James Sidney Watson is my great great grandfather (as he is to Tom also) and is buried at White Rock. The history page has James Sidney the brother of Samuel Coleman Watson (born in Ky, son of Coleman and Lucy Watson, (born in Ky) the son of Evan Watson (a native of Va). The history page says they went from Ky to Tex in 1833. The pages speaks of Grayson, Lamar & Bowie County. Of course all the counties were still part of Red River County in 1833. This "history" page is a typed page (not a copy) passed on to me by my Dad. I assume he typed it from some one or maybe someone mailed it to him. There is not name of transcriber of date of copy. It is two typed pages, double spaced. It sounds like the same page Shane has. It is my dad's charts that list James Sidney in Cleborn Co. Ala. and Charlie Hurst being born there. I wonder if James Sidney could have traveled to Ala from Tex and the back to Texas. I have received a reply from Shane to my reply. We have some notes to share. Shane is 30 and teaches English in the 8th grade at Clarksville.
