Hi Mike, I was cleaning up some old emails from the Red River County mailing list and saw the mention of the Tomlinson family. I found some Tomlinson burials at Bethel Cemetery, south of Detroit. My GGGGrandfather Slate's second wife, Margaret Louise Guthrie, is buried there. I noticed the Tomlinson graves just to the west of her's and took pictures. I remember noticing the name because of LaDanion Tomlinson, who played for TCU and now the Chargers. I then got to looking because if I remember correctly there is a loose connection to the Slate family with the Tomlinson family. I have pictures of all the tombstones if you want to take a look. TN. I've does a lot of research on the web on the Ramseys, Watkins, and Tomlinsons. Thomas K. Ramsey and his brother Richard Ramsey came to Wilson Co. from Virginia in the early 1800's, Thomas K. fought in the war of 1812 and is on the 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860 and 1870 census's. He died in 1880 at age 90.
