There are vast differences in Metal Detectors. My deceased husband had several and they cost from &150. up to $400. This was in late 1960's or early 1970's. None cut out sounding from aluminum foil or bottle caps. The $400. one was to act like a dowser, I hope I spelled that correctly) and be selective as to what it found!
