    3. What kind of tax lists are we talking about? I obtained Republic of Texas, Red River County tax lists microfilm interlibrary loan from Paris Junior College. They will even loan them out of state. A complete listing of what is available and film number is on the Texas State Archive website. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cynthia Samples" <samples88@earthlink.net> To: <TXREDRIV-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 06, 2003 11:30 AM Subject: Re: [TXREDRIV] Republic of TX Tax lists? > Jeri, I don't know if they even still exist. 3. Thanks, you're right. They are on there. I had a printout from the LDS site which has about the same things and I either forgot to look for tax lists or they didn't have them listed. Looks like there were several things I missed. I'll go over there one day this week and see what I can find. Looks like tax records start with 1838. 3. For some reason the LDS do not have the rights to the Tax lists! I've asked and had professionals that regularly work the Family History Library in Salt Lake asking me to go do work for them since the Dallas Public Library has a complete set. I just don't get down to the library much these days. Jeri Cynthia Samples wrote: >Thanks, you're right. They are on there.
