A virus has been passed on to me by a contact. My address book WAS infected. Since you are in my address book, there is a good chance you will find it inl your computer. McAfee or Norton anti-virus won't stop it. It does not attack for 14 days, so even if you have it there is probably no damage yet. Even if I haven't e-mailed you lately, this is what you should do. YOU MUST DO THIS!!! 1. Go to Start, Find or Search option 2. In the file/folder box, type the name jdbgmgr and search everywhere. 3. Click "find now" 4. If you have the virus it will be reported. There is a small teddy bear icon next to it. DO NOT OPEN IT. 5. Go to the file by clicking on the teddy bear icon and right click to highlight the file without opening it. 6/ On the drop-down menu that appears, select DELETE. The file will be placed in your recycle bin. Do not forget to emkpty your recycle bin immediately. If you do not know how to do this, ask someone smarter than I am. IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS. To do this create a new e-mail message and send this message (cup and paste if you know how; otherwise copy it the hard way) to everybody in your address book. Sorry, everyone. I found it in my system after one of my contacts sent me this e-mail. It isn't so hard to follow the above procedure as you think it will be!
