Seems I remember the Burton surname on this board. I have the marriage of Ragin W Burton & Corelia Ann Vinson Oct 17, 1839 in Vermilion County, ILL by Reuben Giddens, Edler, Baptist Church. (Reuben Giddens is my GGGG GF). He also married Daniel Landon & Mary Howell oct 18, 1837. Reuben's son Hiram married Jane Howell in 1834 in Vermilion Co. The above records (requested by my Dad) were mailed to my Dad in 1973 by (letter head) Charles Haggerty, Librarian, Danville Public Library, Danville, Illinois. Actually the letter is signed by (Miss) Eleanor Yoemans of the reference Department. I am very thankful for the many such copies of my Dad's genealogy work that the obtained or charted in the 1960 and 70s. It must have took him many hours to do what I can do on a computer in a few minutes. Reuben came to Red River Co ca 1840 after two or more of his sons started migrating to RR Co beginning ca 1829.
