I just read from Red River Co., Tx list, a Diane Miller had some very interesting facts that might help me in my research. I know that John Ware and wife Ann (McCarley) owned the land that the old Shiloh cemetery is on. At least I believe they did. Her brother G. W. McCarley owned land next to them and Ezekiel P. Wallis and wife Sarah (McCarley) adjoined land with each of them. Somewhere about 1838 or 1839 were the dates of owning the land. I have been looking for any McCarley's who are a part of this family. They came from Pope Co., Arkansas before entering Texas. Before Arkansas they were in Morgan Co., Alabama. I was lucky enough to find Ulisses Ware, son of John and Ann, just the other day, in the 1870 Census in Little River Co., Ark. with a 12 year old son John. If anyone has any information about any of these three families, I would appreciate hearing from you. Ezekiel P. and Sarah (McCarley) Wallis are buried in Stone Chapel cemetery, Cherry Community. Barb
