Marion Elizabeth Ferguson Pool, 86, of Paris formerly of Red River County died Tuesday Feb 25, 2003. Daughter of James Edward and Elizabeth Johnston Ferguson, a union of two pioneer families. She was born in old Jonesboro, later named Davenport. She taught school in Kiamita and later employed with her husband Glen A Pool at White Sands Proving Grounds, N.M. and Camp Polk, La and Fort SmithArk. She retired from the U.S. Bureau of Engineers.
