Mrs. Gene Hawkins is the Lydia "Punkin" Mattie Baxter that made several submissions to the Red River Recollections book. I guess she would be like a step-cousin to me, since there is no actual blood relationship. I have never met her, but I am sorry to hear that she is in bad health.
