Paris News today, Mary Payne Gooding, 64 Clarksville, died Friday May 9th. Mary's father was Dr. Ross Payne that lived in Clarksville for many years and one of her brothers is John Payne of Austin. Her husband of 12 years, James Ellis Gooding. Mary was dating one my coaches R.G. Burris when I was in school. They married and divorced. We have discussed the Payne's of RR Co recently.
